We are already making our way down to Phuket to meet family for a couple of weeks at Christmas, we can’t wait, and are all very excited! Still not heard one Christmas song.. bliss!

We have a few days on the Khao Lak beaches, one of the sites that succumbed to the merciless Tsunami of Boxing Day 2004, before setting off again. Whilst here we have had to renew our visas at the mobile immigration office that sets up here every wednesday 10-3pm (just in case you are ever in the same predicament).  It’s a bit of a wait and quite expensive but needs to be done.

It’s still 30 degrees here on the coast, looking forward to being  treated to some amazing sunsets for the next couple of weeks. Say hello to my Hermit Crab friend.

  1. You don’t need a visa to get into Thailand now do you? Is it still valid for a month? Having a nearby visa station certainly beats having to get to Surat Thani.
Lastly, can you post a big version of the lake pic you use as a header?
